PUBLIC ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE (PAC)

The House shall, at the commencement of each session, appoint a Public Accounts Committee from among its members, whose duties shall be to consider the accounts referred to section 75(2) of this Constitution in conjunction with the report of the Director of Audit and in particular to report to the House-

(a)    In the case of any excess or unauthorised expenditure of public funds the reasons for such expenditure, and
(b)    Any measures it considers necessary in order to ensure that public funds are properly spent,

And such other duties relating to public accounts as the House may from time to time direct.

FINANCE COMMITTEE
(STANDING COMMITTEE ON FINANCE)

There shall be a Standing Committee on Finance, to be known as the Finance Committee, which shall consist of the Prime Minister as Chairman and all the Unofficial Members of the House save the Speaker. In the absence of the Prime Minister, an unofficial Member of the cabinet nominated by him shall act as the Chairman of any meeting of the Finance Committee.

All votes entailing expenditure for public funds for which the sanction of the House is necessary shall be considered by the Standing Committee on Finance before they are submitted to the House for acceptance
